Privacy Policy — Polymarket Terminal

Polymarket Terminal (“the App”) is an independent, read-only informational application. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes, how it is used, and your choices. The App does not offer trading, wallets, payments, or user accounts.

1. Summary

We do not require registration or collect your name, email, or payment details.
We do not sell personal data or use third-party advertising trackers.
Watchlist items are stored locally on your device only.
On some launches, limited device context is sent to our configuration service to determine app presentation.
Market data is fetched from our public API (polyapi.work).

2. Information processed by the App

Locally on your device

Watchlist — market IDs you save are stored in on-device storage (AsyncStorage / UserDefaults). This data is not synced to our servers.
Motion sensor readings — briefly sampled on launch to compute a motion summary. Raw sensor streams are not stored.

Sent to our servers

Configuration request — on eligible devices, the App may send a one-time launch payload to our hosted configuration endpoint (appsapi.work) containing: bundle identifier, device model name, screen dimensions, battery level/state, motion summary (sample count and movement delta), and environment validation flags. This is used solely to return app configuration (for example, whether to show native screens or remote content). We do not use this to identify you personally.
Market data requests — when you browse markets or events, the App requests public market data from polyapi.work. These requests do not include personal identifiers.

Not collected

Contacts, photos, location (GPS), microphone, camera roll
Apple ID, email, phone number, or financial information
Cross-app tracking or advertising identifiers

3. How we use information

Display public prediction market data
Save your watchlist on device
Validate the runtime environment and apply launch configuration
Maintain and improve App reliability

4. Third-party services

PolyApi (polyapi.work) — public market data API operated by us.
Hosted configuration (appsapi.work) — returns launch configuration for eligible devices.
Polymarket (polymarket.com) — optional external links open in Safari; we are not affiliated with Polymarket.
Remote web content — when configuration directs the App to load external web content, that content is subject to the third party’s own policies.

5. Data retention

Watchlist data remains on your device until you remove it or uninstall the App. Configuration logs on our servers, if any, are retained only as long as needed for operations and security, typically no longer than 90 days.

6. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Security

Data in transit uses HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we apply reasonable measures appropriate to the data we process.

8. Your choices

Clear watchlist data by removing items in the App or reinstalling the App.
Decline motion access if prompted (some launch features may fall back to native presentation).
Uninstall the App to remove locally stored data.

9. International users

The App may be used globally. Data may be processed on servers located outside your country.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect changes. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
